Transformers Animated debuts—but WHERE ARE THE TOYS??

So I watch the Transform and Roll Out! on a fine Boxing Day evening, and as I watched what transpired before me, I’m hit with intense toy robot anxiousness. My mind worked overtime as I thought, “This show is cool and all, but where–WHERE are the damn accompanying toys???”

I really wish Hasbro had waited to show this robot coveting frenzy of animation away from me as not to induce my deeply ingrained consumerist Pavlovian response. Damn them! Bring on the toys already–will ya!!??

But I guess it’s really for the best. I mean, I gotta have some money left for the upcoming MegaCon at least. Come to think of it—I’ve got bills to pay damn it.

And it will be nice to get to see another unhealthy object of TV affection–Leah Cairns aka BSG’s Racetrack.

Should be good. And Mark Sheppard will be there too.

“…a socially debilitating, virginity inducing epidemic that’s a terrible thing unless you’re George Lucas.”

So true. So true, EVIL KING MACROCRANIOS. Read the madness HERE.

The only thing, is that Lucas lost me shortly after his 3 film abomination that was the Star Wars prequels.

George Lucas is such a wank.

Whoever knows fear burns at the touch of….The Children??

Man…last night I watched what’s considered by some to be a classic low-budget horror film– called The Children.

And I must say I can completely see why. What’s not to enjoy about nuclear waste creating zombie children with black fingernails, that burn up their victims with their very touch? Mwhahahaha!!!

It was featured on the Grindhouse Experience Vol. 1 (5-disc Box Set) I just purchased recently. A lot of people have complained about the poor quality of the film transfers in this set–but really I could care less.

These movies never really looked good, so why start now? If you’re looking for flawless transfers like a Criterion Collection disc–then this set ain’t for you. What was especially amusing to me about The Children was the fact that lately I’ve seen so many low rent movies that The Children almost seemed carefully constructed.

For tonight :The Isaac Hayes driven Three Tough Guys.

Good things do come to those who wait

As of this news, I’m even happer that I haven’t bought the demonic clown Movie Leader Megatron.

It also explains the absurdly late delay of the Transformer Animated toys as well.

Boy, is Hasbro milking us toy robot dorks for all were worth. Even the chrome-tastic Prime looks tempting, despite the fact that I already have the regular Movie version.
